The kitchen is usually thought of as having the most impact on a home’s condition. But having a beautiful bathroom is just as, if not more important. Bathrooms have overtaken kitchens as the most popular remodeling project.
Small scale renovations are becoming popular than large scale making it easier, and more affordable, for homeowners to do cost effective upgrades to add value to their homes.
In a survey, remodelers reported that 81% of homeowners did bathroom upgrades to 78% of kitchen upgrades in 2017.
While remodeling is commonly a high priority for kitchens and baths, demand for cost effective, and green upgrades to improve efficiency and air quality in homes is on the increase. This can be in the form of windows and doors, HVAC systems and programmable thermostats.
Just keep in mind when thinking about keeping your home “current” that spending a fortune doesn’t have to be in the cards just to keep your home looking fresh and up to date.
